Enjoy the convenience of same-day dentistry with the state-of-the-art E4D Dentist System, a cutting-edge dental system that alleviates the need for traditional impressions, temporaries and second appointments saving you precious time and elevating your overall dental experience. The E4D Dentist System enables your team at Fort Collins Family and Cosmetic Dentistry of the Rockies the ability to take fast, accurate in-house digital impressions using advanced laser-scanning technology. These digital impressions can then be used to design your custom crown, filling, or veneer while you wait, eliminating the need for a second visit for placement. Your restorations will look and feel completely natural. Drs. Willey and Murri can also operate the E4D Dentist System to create veneers and fillings in one office visit with reliable digital accuracy.
The range of benefits Fort Collins Family and Cosmetic Dentistry of the Rockies can now offer is more comprehensive and convenient. The E4D Dentist System allows our team to replace conventional impression methods–no more gooey impression material in your mouth! The clean, fast digital scan is obtained in a few minutes through a series of photographic images taken in the mouth.
The scanned information is then transferred to the design center where a 3D model of the tooth is created chairside. Drs. Willey and Murri can then design and customize the restoration to fit your unique characteristics, after which it is created in a milling unit right in the our dental office.
One of the first steps to getting started with a same day dentistry procedure is to verify that you are a candidate for this treatment option. Following this assessment, your dentist will prepare your teeth for your metal-free restoration by anesthetizing the affected teeth. After this prep work, the E4D digital impression will be taking using a laser scanner and entered into our computerized system. This system will be used to generate the virtual model of your teeth needed for designing your custom crown, veneer, inlay or onlay. This system will allow us to choose the appropriate color, shape and biting/chewing surface for your restoration. After your dentist is satisfied with the digital design, it will be sent via cable or wirelessly to be milled right in the dentist’s office. This milling process uses a bur that carves the material (porcelain, composite and lithium disilicate) into the exact shape needed for your restoration and then the restoration is polished or stained and glazed so that it will naturally blend with all your teeth.
If stain and glaze are used, the restoration will be fired in an oven for approximately 15 minutes or less. The total process may take as little as 60 to 90 minutes, and then will be ready to be seated in your mouth. Once the restoration is finished, your dentist will assess it for appearance, functionality, and fit then cement it and you are done.
The final result of a same day dentistry treatment is a natural-looking restoration that beautifully fits the surrounding teeth, making the crown, veneer or filling virtually undetectable. The elimination of impressions, temporaries, second appointments, and waiting for the permanent restoration revolutionizes the entire dental experience for both the dentist and the patient. You will love watching your new tooth come to life, as well as the convenience of same day dentistry. The E4D Dentist System empowers dentists to treat their patients with dentistry that truly fits their lifestyles. When it comes to your next filling, crown or veneer, the benefits of a digital restoration add up quickly. It’s time for a restoration that will leave you all smiles.
